Butts County School System
The Butts County School System, fully accredited by AdvancED/SACS, educates approximately 3,400 students in grades Pre-K through 12 at three elementary schools, one middle school and one high school. The teaching staff is 100% highly qualified, and 39% hold Masters degrees, 18% hold Specialist degrees and 3% hold Doctoral degrees. The school district’s mission statement is “To provide an environment where students and adults expect more and become more,” which involves raising expectations for student achievement, organizational effectiveness, and relationships and perceptions.
Jackson High School has an 85.7% graduation rate, compared to the Georgia rate of 78.8%, and is a Georgia Advanced Placement Stem School and an AP Honor Roll school.
